Empowering Online Teaching Approaches for Global Digital Citizenship in the Era of post-COVID-19: Learn • Unlearn • Relearn

Synopsis:
The pandemic COVID-19 outbreak has shaped how people from around the world live their life from familiarizing themselves with the everyday use of technology to working and learning in the next normal style. This hence accelerates the global emergence of digital transformation faster than expected, to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency. As a result, many organizations can survive potential-crisis from digital disruption.

This session will clarify and portray the current situation with implications to the new & next normal ways of online teaching and learning ecosystem. The ecosystem consists of 3 dimensions; 1) the readiness to leverage disruptive technology as a key driver, 2) the proper selection of digital content appropriate for each profession and corresponding with required future skills and, 3) the biggest challenge to equip educators with the growth mindset to become role models for learners by demonstrating how to learn, unlearn and relearn.

Professor Dr. Jintavee Khlaisang

Bio :
Jintavee Khlaisang is a full professor at the Department of Educational Technology and Communications (2021-present), a deputy head of Educational Intervention and Innovation research unit, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, and a deputy director, Thailand Cyber University Project, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand (2018-present). Her research interests including E-learning, Flipped classroom, Blended Learning Environment, Virtual Learning Environment, Ubiquitous Learning, Disruptive Technology and MOOCs. Her latest innovation award was a gold medal from the Kaohsiung International Invention and Design EXPO” (KIDE) 2020, the project entitled MALLIE: Chatbot-Based Challenging Game as a New Normal Way to Learn English Language, which was a research-based innovation. Her recent research grant is entitled Scenario-based Learning Innovation in Disruptive Technology Era for Enhancing Medical Students’ Professional Competencies and Digital Intelligence (2020).
